butcher 2: Cutting.Curing.Sausage Stuffing
Applicants MUST have 2+years cutting experience
Duties include knife work by hand using traditional seam butchery techniques (breaking down whole proteins into sub-primals, trimming boneless sub primals, and cutting trim) as well as executing the daily responsibilities of curing, brining, and overhauling products. Ability to be trained at sausage stuffing 101. Able to retain knowledge quickly and execute.
Applicants must have an eye for consistency and quality as well as the ability to work in a busy, tight fitting environment and do some heavy lifting. Training is provided. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Overhaul curing products daily

spice blending for cures, brines, sausages(both fresh and dried)

opening and closing duties as assigned

Inventory on small wares and dried goods to ensure proper ordering

Stuffing of fresh/dried sausages and properly storing them
-
Packaging items for markets/retail
-
Proper storage of product delivery upon arrival
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in butchering whole animals/primals
Positive attitude and a desire to learn new non-traditional techniques
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and spend 8+ hours standing
Working in tight spaces with small crew
Flexibility in scheduling including weekends and most importantly holidays
Compensation:
This is a PAID position at an hourly rate

Beltex Meats is seeking a retail associate for their lively neighborhood butcher shop. As a retail associate you’ll interact with customers constantly. You’ll weigh, slice, price, and package their items while sharing recipes and food preparation instructions as needed. You’ll do this all while maintaining a high standard for cleanliness.

Responsibilities/Skills
Reliable, honest and punctual
Accurately prepare, package, slice, weigh, and price products in a timely manner
Ability to multitask and learn other areas of the business
Professional, friendly, and positive attitude
Maintain accurate signage and case cleanliness
Work with POS and collect money from customer
Work with a sense of urgency
Basic food preparation
Maintain high sanitation standards by following company sanitation and safety procedures
Weekends and Holidays required
Ability to stand for 10 hours
Ability to lift 40lbs
Desired Skills
