Beltex Meats is seeking a retail associate for their lively neighborhood butcher shop. As a retail associate you’ll interact with customers constantly. You’ll weigh, slice, price, and package their items while sharing recipes and food preparation instructions as needed. You’ll do this all while maintaining a high standard for cleanliness.

Responsibilities/Skills

Reliable, honest and punctual

Accurately prepare, package, slice, weigh, and price products in a timely manner

Ability to multitask and learn other areas of the business

Professional, friendly, and positive attitude

Maintain accurate signage and case cleanliness 

Work with POS and collect money from customer

Work with a sense of urgency

Basic food preparation

Maintain high sanitation standards by following company sanitation and safety procedures

Weekends and weeks before Holidays required*

Ability to stand for 10 hours

Ability to lift 40lbs

*(Beltex is typically closed on Holidays themselves, but the weeks leading up to holidays are the busiest retail times of the year.)

Desired Skills (a plus if you've got them)

Knowledge of retail meat cuts

Understanding of charcuterie

Basic Knife Skills

Experience in Retail Food industry

Compensation 

Compensation for this position is hourly wage and varies based on experience.
